Case study · our own store

etchd.store

etchd.store is our own Shopify store — and the proving ground for our technical SEO, performance and integration work. Everything we offer was sharpened here, on a live storefront. This is what that looked like.

The work

Four interventions, end to end.

01 International SEO architecture

Fifty-plus regions, one architecture that doesn't fight itself.

We implemented hreflang tied to the store's market URL structure across seven Shopify Markets — covering 50+ countries and regions, from the US and Canada to a 41-region Europe group. Each region serves the right localized URL without cannibalizing the others, paired with a clean canonical strategy so search engines see one authoritative version of every page.

02 Structured data & indexing

Telling search engines exactly what they're looking at.

We built BreadcrumbList JSON-LD with a mutual-exclusivity design for variant products, and applied targeted noindex rules so near-duplicate variant URLs never compete against each other in the index. Crawl budget gets spent on the pages that actually matter.

03 Performance & Core Web Vitals

A storefront that holds up on a phone.

We diagnosed and mitigated a mobile gallery issue, trimmed the image and mockup payload, and optimized Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) — Google's headline loading metric. Core Web Vitals are both a ranking signal and a conversion lever, so speed here is SEO you can feel.

04 Analytics & integrations

Clean data in, clean decisions out.

We wired the analytics and tracking layer correctly from the ground up — accurate event tracking, properly configured tag and conversion integrations, and review and automation apps connected through the right plan tiers. Reliable data is the foundation everything else is measured against.
